The city is very exciting and it’s fun to just walk the streets to view temples, fortresses, churches and other old buildings. A must see is the statue of the Bodhisatta Avalokitesvara located near the Sands Casino and the MGM Grand. You’ll find spectacular views at Macau Tower , and on Fisherman’s Wharf there is a theme park and excellent shopping. Gambling has been legal in the city since 1851, but Poker was just added in recent years. There are over 30 casinos in Macau; the largest is The Venetian Macau. There are several great museums, such as the Macau Museum, are in Macau Peninsula. On Taipa you’ll find the Museum of Taipa and Coloane History and the Taipa Houses Museum.
