For business travelers there is one name in jet charter that is relied upon time and again to meet corporate travel needs. That name is Cessna. With its light jet models and comfortable cabins Cessna private jets deliver the ultimate in business travel comfort and convenience.
Though for travelers familiar with the brand it may seem like they have formula for business travel comfort down but Cessna continually strives to improve its line of private jets, tweaking and adjusting and constantly raising the bar.
That’s why even though the Cessna Citation line of business jets have long met the private jet needs of corporations the world over, the company recently announced its latest offering: the light business jet, Citation M2. According to Cessna the jet fills the gap between the Citation Mustang and the Citation CJ family.
The newest addition to the Cessna Citation family adds yet another choice for clients looking for private jet options. With features like a GarminG3000 avionics and an engine similar to the Citation CJ series, the Citation M2 combines the familiar with the cutting edge. An all-new cabin design promises to wow with room for two crew members and six passengers.
The latest Cessna private jet is big news for business travelers and private jet charter companies but they’ll have to wait. Though excitement is building about the release of this new private jet, most people will have to wait anxiously to experience it.
The Citation M2 will have its initial flight in the first half of 2012 followed by FAA certification in the first half of 2013. Alas, deliveries won’t take place until the second half of 2013.
There was a recent sneak peak of the new aircraft. A mockup of the cabin was on display at Cessna’s exhibit in the Las Vegas Convention Center during the 64th NBAA Annual meeting and Convention in October.
The Citation M2 will soon join the family of private jets that currently includes the Citation X, Citation Sovereign, Citation X LS+, Citation CJ4, Citation CJ3, Citation CJ2+, Citation Mustang and the Citation CJ1+.
Whether you’re on the edge of your seat awaiting the release of the Citation M2 or you are content for now with Cessna’s current options, you know that private jet travel is the way to go. Newport Jets realizes that too and strives to make its private jet charter experience the best of its kind for business travelers.
